Long-Term Orientation (LTO)
Reading and
answering questions about UAE news articles
For the
reading section you will of course need the vocabulary that you have learnt. If
you did not get a good grade in your mid-term exam, you will definitely have to
study a lot for the final. You will be given six articles to read beforehand
but you will only have to answer questions on three of them in the exam. You
may not bring the articles into the exam room.
Your Blog
Please upload
all but the last post to your blog. I will be chatting to each one of you in
the second class this week. Please make sure that you have done everything
before then as I will be checking it with you. Your blog deadline is Friday 31 May at midnight.
The details are in the folder. Look at the Blog Marking Rubric – only excellent
content with critical thinking demonstrated will receive “A” grades. Just
uploading a post does not make it an “A”!!!!
Reflection 3
After
teaching you about negative advertisements in relationships to the “isms”,
you be given
some other images and time to prepare for a written class reflection. (10%)
Reflection 3 and a written course reflection will take place in the second
class of the week beginning May 18th.
